The facilities must take into account the coastal landscape, nature and the risk of flooding and coastal erosion.
Who: The act applies to the municipal councils of Brøndby, Greve, Hvidovre, Ishøj and Vallensbæk Municipalities. They can only modernise in more specifically defined areas.
When: The Act entered into force on 1 July 2025.

Proposal: The Danish Arts Foundation is to be closed and replaced by a culture fund

Proposed by: Dansk Folkeparti (16 members, first named: Mette Thiesen)
What is proposed: The proposal calls on the Danish Parliament to instruct the government to begin the work of closing the Danish Arts Foundation no later than the end of the 2026-27 parliamentary session. Instead, a fund for art and culture is to be set up that strengthens the shared history, identity and democratic understanding of the Danish people.
When: The proposal has not been adopted yet. A proposal for a parliamentary resolution is not an act and does not change the rules by itself. If the Danish Parliament adopts it, it is usually a call on the government to act.

New rules for parish council management and work

What changes: The act changes the rules on how parish councils are managed and formed. The parish council is expressly given responsibility as an employer and must have a person responsible for staff, who is either a parish council member or an employed day-to-day manager authorised by the council.
Who: The rules apply to parish councils in the Danish National Church and to their employees. Provosts and bishops must cooperate with the councils on the workplace.
When: The rest of the Act entered into force on 1 January 2026. Section 2, no. 17, 18, 21, 22 and 25 will enter into force on 1 January 2029.

Act on production rebate for film and series production

What changes: The act provides the legal basis (the rule in the law that gives the right to do something) for a Danish production rebate scheme.
