Forslaget giver Konkurrence- og Forbrugerstyrelsen beføjelser til at hjælpe Europa-Kommissionen med at håndhæve forordningen om udenlandske subsidier, der fordrejer det indre marked. Formålet er at sikre lige konkurrencevilkår og modvirke fordrejning af markedet ved at regulere subsidier fra tredjelande til virksomheder, der opererer i EU. Med lovforslaget får styrelsen ret til at gennemføre kontrolundersøgelser og indsamle informationer. Lovens ikrafttræden foreslås at være den 1. januar 2025.
