Lovforslaget er en justering af parallelsamfundsreglerne på dagtilbudsområdet. Lovforslaget indebærer, at kommunalbestyrelsen skal kunne træffe beslutning om, at børn fra disse områder ikke tælles med i de 30 pct. af børn fra udsatte boligområder, der kan optages i daginstitutioner, hvis deres forældre er i beskæftigelse eller under uddannelse. Desuden foreslås det, at reglerne kan gælde i op til 3 år efter, at et boligområde ikke længere er klassificeret som udsat. Det foreslås, at loven træder i kraft den 1. januar 2025.
