Med lovforslaget foreslås det at hæve de lovfastsatte gebyrer for Patent- og Varemærkestyrelsens sagsbehandling af bl.a. patenter, varemærker, designs, brugsmodeller og halvlederprodukters udformning (typografi). De lovfastsatte gebyrerne foreslås hævet med 20 pct., for at styrelsens gebyrindtægter i højere grad tager højde for styrelsens it-investeringer. Endvidere foreslås det at nedsætte videresendelsesgebyret for internationale patentansøgninger (PCT-ansøgninger). Loven foreslås at træde i kraft den 1. januar 2026.
